If you are facing disqualification due to a motoring offence, understanding the road traffic accidents fee is crucial. You can contact us for assistance. We offer both fixed fees and hourly rate options. Below, you will find an estimate of the costs you might incur. However, we can provide an accurate cost assessment only after reviewing your case details.
The road traffic accidents fee for exceptional hardship or totting up penalty points ranges between £500.00 and £1000.00, excluding VAT. This fee covers all necessary preparations and court representations. We ensure you are well-advised throughout the process.
For a guilty plea in drink or drug driving cases, the road traffic accidents fee is between £250.00 and £500.00, excluding VAT. If you plead guilty with special reasons, the fee increases to £750.00 – £1500.00, excluding VAT. For not guilty pleas and trials, the costs range from £1000.00 to £2500.00, excluding VAT.
The duration for guilty plea cases depends on the final court hearing date. For not guilty pleas, the average timespan is 3-6 months. Each case is unique, and we provide an initial indication of this during the consultation.
Our team includes the Director, who is assisted by Solicitors, Trainee Solicitors, or Paralegals.
Our hourly rates of Road Traffic Accidents are as follows
Third parties, such as Barristers, Experts, or translators, will charge costs related to your matter. We handle the payment of these disbursements on your behalf to ensure a smoother process. However, you are responsible for the expenses incurred on your matter. These expenses are separate from our own costs and are payable in addition. Depending on the nature of your matter, we explain what those expenses are.
Some examples of disbursements include, but are not limited to, the following:
Barrister or Counsel fees to obtain a legal opinion or to represent you at a hearing usually cost between £500.00 and £1500.00 plus VAT. We provide a quotation upon request. Additionally, interpreter fees are usually £30.00 plus VAT per hour where applicable. We also provide a quotation for this upon request. Independent expert reports, such as those from medical experts, usually cost between £500.00 and £1500.00 plus VAT. These are not required in many cases, but we inform you as soon as possible if we consider an expert report necessary.
We apply a 20% VAT to our costs. If a VAT-registered expert works on your case, we include VAT in their fees as well. We add this additional cost to the quoted fee.
