Speeding Offences (Guilty Plea)
We charge a road traffic accidents fee ranging between £250.00 and £500.00, excluding VAT, for written representation on a speeding offence. We charge between £600.00 and £1200.00, excluding VAT, for representation in Court for a guilty plea. These costs include initial meetings, necessary correspondence, evidence review, court representation, and post-hearing advice.
Exceptional Hardship / Totting Up Penalty Points (Guilty Plea)
The road traffic accidents fee for exceptional hardship or totting up penalty points ranges between £500.00 and £1000.00, excluding VAT. This fee covers all necessary preparations and court representations. We ensure you are well-advised throughout the process.
Drink Driving / Drug Driving / Failing to Provide a Specimen (Guilty Plea)
For a guilty plea in drink or drug driving cases, the road traffic accidents fee is between £250.00 and £500.00, excluding VAT. If you plead guilty with special reasons, the fee increases to £750.00 – £1500.00, excluding VAT. For not guilty pleas and trials, the costs range from £1000.00 to £2500.00, excluding VAT.
What Do Road Traffic Accidents Fee Include?
Not Guilty Plea Estimates
- We cover the first hearing and a maximum one-day trial in our not guilty plea estimates.
- However, we do not include additional disbursements such as travel costs and expert report fees.
- We also exclude any costs caused by adjournment.
- Additionally, we do not include preparation or advice for interim hearings.
- We do not cover advice or assistance related to any appeal either.
- Furthermore, we exclude work related to further case management hearings or pre-trial reviews.
- We do not include any interim applications to the court.
- Moreover, we do not cover any additional instructions from you or changes to instructions from you.
- Delays in providing information or instructions may incur extra costs.
- Lastly, we do not include any issues caused or raised by disclosure, the evidence, or CPS correspondence.
Guilty Plea Prices Include
- First, we will meet to ascertain the facts of your case and take instructions.
- Next, we will handle any necessary correspondence and maintain contact with your lawyer.
- Then, we will review the evidence necessary for your particular case.
- Additionally, we will provide advice regarding the case, the Court process (if necessary), and what to expect.
- Before the hearing, we will meet at court to prepare.
During the hearing, we will provide representation in Court. - Finally, we will offer any necessary advice and assistance post-hearing.
How Long Will It Take?
The duration for guilty plea cases depends on the final court hearing date. For not guilty pleas, the average timespan is 3-6 months. Each case is unique, and we provide an initial indication of this during the consultation.

Our team includes the Director, who is assisted by Solicitors, Trainee Solicitors, or Paralegals.
Hourly Rates of Road Traffic Accidents Fee
Our hourly rates of Road Traffic Accidents are as follows:
- Senior Director (4+ years): £220 – £290 plus VAT
- Director or Solicitor (2+ years): £170 – £240 plus VAT
- Paralegals/Trainee Solicitor: £130 plus VAT
Disbursements
Third parties, such as Barristers, Experts, or translators, will charge costs related to your matter. We handle the payment of these disbursements on your behalf to ensure a smoother process. However, you are responsible for the expenses incurred on your matter. These expenses are separate from our own costs and are payable in addition. Depending on the nature of your matter, we explain what those expenses are.
Some examples of disbursements include, but are not limited to, the following:
Barrister or Counsel fees to obtain a legal opinion or to represent you at a hearing usually cost between £500.00 and £1500.00 plus VAT. We provide a quotation upon request. Additionally, interpreter fees are usually £30.00 plus VAT per hour where applicable. We also provide a quotation for this upon request. Independent expert reports, such as those from medical experts, usually cost between £500.00 and £1500.00 plus VAT. These are not required in many cases, but we inform you as soon as possible if we consider an expert report necessary.
Value Added Tax (VAT)
We apply a 20% VAT to our costs. If a VAT-registered expert works on your case, we include VAT in their fees as well. We add this additional cost to the quoted fee.
